A Dog Named Beau
Every year around Christmas, with It’s A Wonderful Life on everywhere, it always makes me think back to a poem Jimmy Stewart shared with Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show in 1981 about his dog. I am old enough to remember watching it live. Remarkably, I can recall how it made me feel back then as lost teen who routinely turned to his dog when life got too confusing. It’s amazing that after all these years, hearing this poem today continues to make me feel the same way. ❤️
